The Peninsular War: Wellington's Battlefields Revisited

About a year ago I produced limited number of copies of a book of colour photographs showing Wellington's battlefields in the Peninsula and southern France. My good friend Jamie Wilson, previously owner of Spellmount but now with Pen & Sword, saw it and said he'd like to publish it commercially. So, watch out for it. I think it's due some time in the summer.

Robert Craufurd: Wellington's Wayward Martinet
I'm currently working on a new biography of Robert Craufurd, one of Wellington's most able but controversial commanders in the Peninsula. Mortally wounded during the storming of Ciudad Rodrigo on 19 January 1812, Craufurd has a reputation as being a hard disciplinarian, flogging his men across the Peninsula. However, the private man was very difrferent from the public soldier and his letters, published for the first time in this book, reveal a far different character to the one portrayed in most history books. Not sure when it's de to be published but watch this space for updates.
